Mesut Guersoy

Mesut Gürsoy began learning drums and guitar at the age of nine. With twelve years he already had his first gigs with bands. His main focus is on the styles Rock/Alternatvie/Heavy as well as Electronica/Dubstep/R&B. Through private lessons with Jojo Mayer and Claus Hessler he is also specialist for the Moeller-Technique and open-handed playing.

With bands such as Cosmic Casino and Roman Fischer he`s been touring all over Europe with gigs at Rock am Ring, Highfield Festival, in London, Amsterdam and Mailand. His energetic playing is to be found on numerous recordings.

After lessons with Timm Schauen (Drummer`s Focus, Munich) and Agostino Catanzaro (Latin Percussion School, Munich) he passed the Downtown Music Institute, Augsburg intensive course with excellent exam in 2004. He then became teacher at the Institute and beside giving one-to-one lessons he lead band workshops and children`s percussion groups. He attended workshops and masterclasses with Will Calhoun, Steve Smith, Marc Schulman, Ralf Gustke and many more.

Being experienced on stage, in studios and with many bands over years he now is a demanded workshop drummer himself. In 2011 he did his first workshop Tour "drums and dubstep".  Beside this he is also Songwriter and producer. In 2011 he was in the jury of "Jugend musiziert" for the first time.

Mesut teaches students of all ages and levels. Beginners are as welcome as semi-professionals or professional working drummers.
